Why Jeju's volcanic stone works as a home fragrance object

StoneJeju volcanic-stone diffuser 350: black glass vessel filled with Jeju scoria, with its citrus oil bottle

Jeju Island was built by volcanic eruptions, and its dark, porous scoria shows up in field walls and along the coast. StoneJeju, a maker on the island, puts that same stone into a small vessel and uses its pores to hold fragrance oil, which the stone then releases slowly into the room.

The set comes in two sizes: 350g in a glass vessel (about 75 x 100 x 75 mm) and 500g in Jeju onggi earthenware (about 100 x 105 x 100 mm), each with 10mL of citrus oil. Add 10-12 drops to the upper stones and refresh with a few drops when you want the scent back. No flame, no plug. To change scent, rinse the stones in warm water and let them dry completely.
